Module Overview

The IC200MDL643 discrete input module provides two groups of 8 discrete inputs. Each group can be configured for positive logic inputs receiving current from input devices and returning it on the common, or negative-logic inputs receiving current from the common and returning it to the input device. Input devices are connected between the input terminals and common terminals. The module supports positive and negative logic inputs. For compatibility with TTL devices, the negative logic configuration is recommended.

Configuration Parameters

The module’s basic input on/off response time is 0.25 ms. For specific applications, additional filtering may be necessary to address noise spikes or switch bounce. Input filter times of 0ms, 1.0ms, or 7.0ms are selectable via software configuration, resulting in total response times of 0.25ms, 1.25ms, and 7.25ms respectively. The default filter time is 1.0ms (total response time: 1.25ms).
