Traditional I/O Subsystem Components:

• I/O interface carrier: DIN rail surface mounted, hosts all I/O related components.
• Bulk AC to 24V DC power supply for field devices.
• I/O interface: Consists of an I/O card and an I/O terminal block.
• Analog and discrete I/O cards: Common form factor, easily plugs into the I/O interface carrier.
• I/O terminal blocks: Mountable on the carrier, can be pre-wired before I/O card installation.
