Low Level Analog (Temperature) Input – LLMUX – CC-PAIM01
Function The LLMUX IOP module facilitates up to 64 channels of temperature inputs. Utilizing the Honeywell PMIO LLMUX FTA, it accommodates both RTD and Thermocouple (TC) inputs. Each FTA supports 16 channels, allowing for flexibility in configuration.

Temperature Support The Temperature Input LLMUX leverages the PMIO LLMUX FTA, which supports RTD and Thermocouple inputs. It collects temperature variables from all points at a rate of 1 second, incorporating OTD checks before propagating the data. TC inputs are compensated using a Cold Junction Compensation (CJT) device.
Sampling and Open Sensor Detect The Temperature multiplexer supports RTD and Thermocouples with Open Sensor Detect functionality before delivering the Process Variable (PV). During an OTD cycle, if detected, the PV is held and assessed. If the OTD is negative, the PV is propagated; if positive, the PV is set to NaN and the input channel undergoes a soft failure process to prevent inappropriate control actions.
