GE Mark VI IS200EPSMG2AED Exciter Power Distribution Module
GE Mark VI IS200EPSMG2AED Exciter Power Distribution Module
Technical Specifications:
Product Description
The IS200EPSMG2AED is an Exciter Power Supply module engineered by GE for integration within the Mark VI system, representing one of the final iterations of the Speedtronic series for gas and steam turbine management by General Electric.
Mark VI System
The Mark VI system, a culmination of the Speedtronic series dating back to 1969, marks a significant advancement with the incorporation of a Windows PC-based Human-Machine Interface (HMI) boasting full-color graphics (CIMPLICITY) and Ethernet capabilities.
Functionality
The IS200EPSMG2AED serves as one of two EPSM boards in the Mark VI system, with the EPSMG1 utilized in the thyristor system. Specifically, the IS200EPSMG2AED is designated for regulator control and features an EPSD daughterboard, distinguishing it from its counterpart.
Operation
Primarily, the IS200EPSMG2AED is tasked with converting the dc-link voltage into various voltages essential for EX2100 regulator control, including +5VDC, +/- 15VDC, and +24VDC. In simplex systems, a single board is mounted in the ERBP backplane, while redundant systems require two boards inserted into the backplane (ERBP (M1) and ERRB,(M2/C)).
Construction
The module features a faceplate with seven LED lights and incorporates essential components such as a Bicron inductor, transformer, transistors with heat sinks, and additional inductor coils. It includes heat sinks and nine fuses for operational efficiency. The EPSD daughterboard is securely connected to the main board via four screws and standoffs and includes a backplane connector for seamless integration.
