The HIMA K 9203A Rack Fan is designed to provide forced ventilation for 19'' rack installations. It consists of three axial fans, ensuring efficient air circulation by drawing air from below the unit and expelling it from the top. This rack fan is equipped with a redundant power supply, fan operation monitoring, and voltage monitoring, making it suitable for use in critical industrial environments.

Operation and Indicators

The fan operation and voltage status are monitored and indicated through LED indicators and connector plug pins:

• No Fault:

  • Connector plug, pins 4 and 5: Open
  • Connector plug, pins 5 and 6: Closed
  • LED Fail: OFF
  • LED 24 V: ON

• Operating Voltage < 20.4 V or > 28.8 V:

  • Connector plug, pins 4 and 5: Open
  • Connector plug, pins 5 and 6: Closed
  • LED Fail: OFF
  • LED 24 V: BLINKING

• Operating Voltage Missing or Fuse Defective:

  • Connector plug, pins 4 and 5: Closed
  • Connector plug, pins 5 and 6: Open
  • LED Fail: OFF
  • LED 24 V: OFF

• Fan Malfunction (Fan Speed < 75%...85% of Rated Speed):

  • Connector plug, pins 4 and 5: Closed
  • Connector plug, pins 5 and 6: Open
  • LED Fail: ON
  • LED 24 V: ON

Connector Plug

The connector plug is used to connect the rack fan to the power supply. For increased availability, terminal 3 can be connected to a redundant power supply. Optical and acoustic detectors can be connected to terminals 4, 5, and 6.
