Accessories—RTBs

1756 removable terminal blocks (RTBs) provide flexible interconnection between plant wiring and 1756 I/O modules. RTBs must be ordered separately and are available in screw-clamp and spring-clamp versions. For applications requiring 2.5 mm² (14 AWG) wiring, consider ordering the extended housing.

Wiring Systems

For simplified wiring, prewired systems can be utilized:

  • Interface Modules (IFMs): Provide I/O terminal blocks for Digital I/O modules, using prewired cables.
  • Analog Interface Modules (AIFMs): Provide I/O terminal blocks for Analog I/O modules, using prewired cables.
  • I/O Module-Ready Cables: One end connects to the I/O module via an RTB, with color-coded conductors at the other end for standard terminal blocks.
