Collection: Yokogawa CS3000 I/O Module

The Yokogawa CS3000 I/O Module is an integral part of the CENTUM CS 3000 DCS (Distributed Control System). These I/O modules provide the physical connection between the CENTUM CS 3000 system and the field instruments in a process plant .  They are responsible for transmitting sensor signals from the field to the control system and vice versa,  allowing the system to monitor and control the process.

Yokogawa offers a wide range of CS3000 I/O modules to accommodate various  signal types, including analog, digital, and communication modules.  Here are some of the common types of Yokogawa CS3000 I/O modules:

  • Analog Input Modules: These modules convert analog signals from field sensors, such as temperature transmitters or pressure transmitters, into digital signals that the CS3000 system can understand.
  • Analog Output Modules: These modules convert digital signals from the CS3000 system into analog signals that can be used to control field devices, such as control valves or variable speed drives.
  • Digital Input Modules: These modules are used to read the status of digital devices in the field, such as limit switches or pushbuttons.
  • Digital Output Modules: These modules are used to control the on/off state of digital devices in the field, such as solenoid valves or indicator lights.
  • Communication Modules: These modules allow the CS3000 system to communicate with other devices on the network, such as remote I/O stations or analyzers.

Each Yokogawa CS3000 I/O module is housed in a rugged metal enclosure for protection in harsh industrial environments. The modules are typically mounted in I/O cabinets or shelters located near the process equipment they are connected to.
